Re: Rest in Peace

A commercial pilot is required to have an IFR endorsement. Kobe may have been to pilot, flying his own helicopter. It's not easy flying in fog in a helicopter, even with an IFR endorsement. A chopper pilot from the home town of my kin lies buried in a local cemetery after crashing his helicopter in...

I'll stick with my old fave: pond scum.
One of my high school teachers once called our entire class "the garbage at the bottom of the pail." I've always liked that saying ever since.

I can tap on the large circle thingies now and it goes to the last unread post. Fine Business, that is. Tapping on the little folder worked fine from my desktop, but it was a pain when done from my phone.

oh noes! :o What am I going to do with my pile of 20%-off ONE regularly priced item with a long list of exclusions coupons? I did receive a $20 off all purchases over $80 coupon last week. I went ahead and made up an order that came to $79. I needed an oven thermometer, so I forked over another $4....

Re: 1/18/20 Flash Poll -- Who Are Your Top 5 Democratic Candidate Choices For President?

Agreed, fiercedpanda. I have but a minor in economics and I can see that idea won’t work. The $1000 a month will immediately become worthless. We need a substantial increase in the minimum wage and health care for everyone. The $1000 is a worthless gimmick. I’ve seen $1000 a month increases in Socia...

Re: 1/18/20 Flash Poll -- Who Are Your Top 5 Democratic Candidate Choices For President?

My first choice is to have a president who will do his best to reverse the damages caused by the Trump Administration. I see many candidates promising they will do this and do that, but none directly telling us they will undo Trump's outrageous executive orders. Those should be easy. Many of the can...

I included Steyer, because I was pretty sure nobody else would and I felt bad for him. Not a good reason, I know. I never took to Klobuchar, not sure why. Bennett, I like, but he hasn't even tried, so hell with him. I actually like Bloomberg's transit plans, so it wouldn't have hurt me to vote for ...

I cleared out the driveway and nasty berm the city left after they plowed the street three times. The snow blower took a tank and a half of gas. That gas tank is yuuge. The berm, plus another drift that was about ten feet wide and completely across the driveway for my three car garage, were both fou...

Re: 1/18/19 Flash Poll -- Who Are Your Top 5 Democratic Candidate Choices For President?

I've pretty much decided that I'd like to see a Biden/Buttigieg ticket. Biden would only be serving one term anyway and Buttigieg needs the national exposure that serving as VP would give him.

Burrrrr. It’s piling deep in my back yard. The wind is supposed to switch this evening. That’s going to pile it in my front yard and driveway. At least I stocked my shelves yesterday and I will think about clearing the snow. Maybe on Sunday.

I was and still am rooting for Stormy. It's too bad she hooked up with an ambulance chaser. The more of Avenatti I saw, the spookier he looked. My husband actually likes Bloomberg's ads. They are certainly well-produced. And, as we know, repetition sinks into minds. Bloomberg's ads are far better than those of Tom Steyers, IMHO. All I see Bloomberg saying here with his ads is the fact that he made more money than Trump. He claims he's a be...
