Re: Jacob Wohl / Jack Burkman - hopelessly incompetent smear merchants

Oh goody, not only has the report where she quoted a 1973 proposed law as an example of updating laws with gender neutral language been used by the right as an example of how she advocates for lowering the age of consent, now the dippy dung duo claims she has actually lowered the age.

Re: Donald's Mystery Walter Reed Visit / Health Issues

I work in an independent living retirement community and many of our residents should be in assisted care because of early dementia. We send staff up every day to make sure they take their medicine and are still functioning. Those people speak more eloquently than Donald Trump does. During the week...

I am not sure the status of Curry's out of state (NM) warrant, but he was recently transferred to Denver County. It's possible they worked out something as he has the Colorado case pending.

Sit down: Dismissed . :swoon: Basically, as expected, e.g.: Whatever tenuous grip Strunk's factual allegations might have held on observable reality seems to end there. I tend to disagree with the court. The cat knocked him off the table of observable reality right about the time he stated the clai...

Re: Bundy related gossip and discussion

The court cited Klayman's least favorite case, Twombly; the court cited Iqbal as well. I noticed that. The IANAL in me is thinking that every court order includes Twombly, Iqbal, Lujan, and Bivens (and various Taitz and Klayman rulings). I suppose it reflects that the bulk of my reading of opinions...

I wonder when Klayman will get tired of winning. The Lovelien v USA and lots of others, was dismissed by the DC court today. Trevor McFadden, the same Trump appointee the dismissed Ryan Bundy's case, was the judge.

OK, so he misstated the day of his relative's death by 3 days? And failed to correct his "mis-statement" repeatedly over several months. I get that, I just see lawyers do more egregious things regularly, with no retribution. Montgomery v Risen comes to mind. My impression is this was not his first ...

If they were rational people, the wouldn't be 3%ers. I have noticed that many militia folk tend to steer clear of foreclosure evictions. I suspect they would be more involved with tax seizures.

It's why I wonder how John Lamb and Kelli Stewart are able to dash around the country to save their heroes. Kap'n Karl has inherited money, not that he necessarily spends it wisely. But how do Lamb and Stewart pay for these trips? Do their spouses really enjoy taking care of the kids and the family...

Hey, everything I learned from Birthers is that the order is, verdict, sentence, frog marching. I don't recall any deliberation in that.

Come to think of it, it may be sentence, verdict, then pad Thai.

I don't think all of the Poots are anti-Native American minded. Seemed like there was support for Standing Rock pipeline protests. Driving to the Metra station in the snow this morning was not too bad. Between the lack of construction and landscaper vehicles, and some people staying home for Veteren's Day, the traffic was rather light.

And, lets be honest, 50 years os way too long for something to be sitting around waiting for ratifications, at least in my view. The law will probably disagree with me, as usual.
The 27th Amendment took 202 years to ratify.
