Re: President Trump

We had our annual Christmas pot-luck for the quilt group the other day, and as most of you know, it's all Black women and me. One of our members is on the board of the new museum and will be serving as a volunteer during the opening. I spent some time talking to her after the party and she is very ...

Regarding Sen. Franken's statement: I think this is as good an apology as I've seen. He's owning what he did, saying it was wrong, not trying to explain it away.

Fuck, fuck, fuckity, fuck, fuck. I've got a true Halloween emergency. The trick or treating is all done and I still have over half of the second (big) bag of candy left (I was giving out handfuls all night, too. also). My new feline overlord (who otherwise seems to be adjusting after a stressful da...

I have been part of a discussion where the frustration of not having addresses in Latin America is fodder for some hilarious experiences, and some not so hilarious. In many rural areas there is no mail delivery and utility bills are often stuck in doors or on fence posts. One friend gets his water ...

Please stay with me on this...The Orville, the Star Trekkie knock off from Seth McFarlane. I was not expecting it to be this good. I thought Ivana's "I'm the first lady" comment was just a throwaway joke, so I don't understand the kerfuffle.

Of COURSE they've all had plastic surgery. I don't think celebrities even remember what older women are supposed to look like.

Has anyone been watching "Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath" on A&E? I've heard of Scientology before, but other than Tom Cruise and Kirstie Alley being nutcases I didn't know much about it. I guess that's one of the advantages in living in a smaller town in the Bible belt.

Re: The Democratic Party Making it Difficult for People to Support

I have an email that I use for political stuff. Every couple days I go clear it out. I used it once for a Trump site (no I didn't donate!), and I get it from both sides now.

I have had a bit of fun with the Trump emails. A couple times a week they have a "survey" and I always partake.
