Re: Oversight/Intel Committees: Allen Weisselberg Testimony, Trump Org CFO; Mazars USA; Re Financial Records

My comment was mostly directed at high-profile cases where public perception of the appearance of impropriety may be a consideration. Not that it should. I'm probably weighing "appearance" more than I should.

There's no legal reason for Garland to recuse. He doesn't have a conflict or an appearance of conflict. Anyone who says he does is talking nonsense. :yeah: I can see Garland considering recusal in a case where Mitch The Turtle is a party. Or have I missed an appellate case where Garland gave a scat...

RC is right. This is a doozy! I'm sure Rachel will spend the first 25 minutes of her show on this. Here is the last paragraph of Judge Mehta's ruling (before the VI. Conclusion ). Earlier, the judge ruled that irreparable harm to DJT was a consideration in whether to issue a stay. However, the other...

Hope your test and consultation went well today, realist. I hope they have you on one of the newer blood thinners like Xarelto or Pradaxa instead of rat poison (warfarin). After my hospital stay for PEs earlier this year they put me on warfarin. One of the rarer side effects is hair loss. After a mo...

https://www.denverpost.com/2019/05/07/psychedelic-magic-mushrooms-denver-election/ A ballot measure that would make Denver the first city in the nation to decriminalize psychedelic mushrooms is lagging in early results. Initiative 301 is behind 53.54 percent, or 61,250 votes, to 46.46 percent, or 5...

Re: ART: I know it when I see it

The Monet exhibition will be in the Hamilton Building. It is named after Frederic C. Hamilton who headed the fundraising drive for the $110 million building. In 2014, he bequeathed 22 impressionist paintings to DAM, four of which are by Monet. The building's odd shape is said to create equilibrium p...

I guess this is as good a place to post this as any (I do love Monet's paintings). The Denver Art Museum will have an exhibition of 125 Claude Monet paintings from October 21, 2019 through February 2, 2020. This isn't meant to be be a replacement for the meetup earlier in October. Denver will be the...

Over the years I've regarded Zullo as a man desperate to be a bigtime investigator. Anything but a policeman in a small hamlet in New Jersey who rose to fame as a used car salesman. This latest installment by Reporter Rharon finally drove home the point that Zullo is to police investigators as Taitz...
