Re: Veterans on Patrol #OperationBackyardBrawl

You have to remember, the Pedophiles all have deep down tunnels stretching all over the earth. Underground they have tunneled out a Grid of secret tunnels filled with lines of trafficked children which they drain for their special blood. They drain the secret tunnels for their special blood? Cooooo...

Re: Veterans on Patrol #OperationBackyardBrawl

These people are all patriotic manly man (and womanly woman, whatever that is -- maybe ssg moe) americans and would refuse any help -- and in such an instance I would applaud their stand and agree not to give them any help. Unless of course KK shows up in his OPVEC to rescue them (and he gets trappe...

Re: Trial: US v Manafort, Eastern District of Virginia

I had a lithotrypsy yesterday (the second in three weeks and likely one more to go) so I am cranky.

I WANT A GUILTY VERDICT AND I WANT IT NOW. (and a note from the jury to the judge to keep his mouth shut).

And a pony.

What's all this about George Papadopoulous trying to withdraw his guilty plea? Did Laura Trump promise him $15K/month in hush money too? Maybe he can get pardoned AND pick up $15K a month. His wife wants a new lawyer and for him to withdraw his plea deal -- but I don't think she knows how that work...

the question re: reasonable doubt leads me to believe that someone was arguing beyond all possible doubt and the judge squashed that; My fear is that someone is going to dig their heels in on the "beyond all doubt" standard and we will have a hung jury If the alternative is the bundy solution, I wo...

Apropos: "I believe Anita Hill!"

I believed, and still believe Anita Hill, and that is one reason why I will never* support Biden in a primary.

* Excepting certain situations, e.g., Don Trump Jr. registers and runs as a democrat, in which event I would vote for Joe Biden, dead or alive.

ANYONE who expects this to end well for the affected farmers, farm communities and farm economies, needs only look to little events like Katrina, and more recently Puerto Rico, to see the usual outcome of depending on a timely and functional response from the government. I DO NOT see this ending we...

Putting on my extremely rose colored glasses, after taking another 45 mg of morphine (I had my second lithotripzsy this morning) and having almost zero experience with a criminal jury, I feel twice as optimistic now (up to 10%), as follows: if the jury wants to know if the Manafort could be found gu...

Blame Navarro for this. Maybe Ross too. Trump is not bright enough to have caused this.
Trump is definitely not smart enough to understand the consequences of his actions here, but he has always been a huge pro-tariff asshole.

Maybe a trumpkin snuck onto the jury and contaminated it by saying that the whole think was part of Mueller's "witch hunt." Or a juror told the other jurors that the judge's comments prove that this is all a witch hunt. Then we might get a mistrial and a new judge. Gotta have a dream to have a dream...

Re: Trial: US v Manafort, Eastern District of Virginia

Question for the criminal lawyers here. As an acquittal isn't appealable by the prosecution, can, and should, the prosecution ask for a mistrial now based on the Judge's behavior and, if necessary, take an immediate appeal upon Ellis' inevitable denial?

Okay, I have changed my opinion on HATJ. I previously thought there was an element of con in her, but after reading the sentencing transcript, I truly believe that someone hit her with the crazy stick 40 times, and then came back for another 41. I would pay someone to chart out all of the claims an...
