Re: On a Personal Level--Coronavirus COVID-19 Cancellations, etc.

I just had the weirdest visual come to mind. Right now people are buying more toilet paper, some in part because of increased usage with children and adults all being at home 24/7. But that would mean that schools and businesses are having a corresponding decrease in TP usage, right? So there must b...

Re: Is Anyone Just Tired?

After saying don't wear masks if you aren't sick, they are now saying wear a mask. And where is anyone supposed to get one now? :? I don't sew, so I posted a couple of videos in the Arts and Crafts Club thread on how to make a mask from a bandana and ponytail holders, no sewing required. I haven't ...

Re: On a Personal Level--Coronavirus COVID-19 Cancellations, etc.

Florida and other states doing little will wait until they have a lot of deaths. Then act after many people are already infected. Don't forget the part about blaming all the residents from other states who visited their sunny, open beaches. If it weren't for the evil, irresponsible residents from o...

LATimes - A choir decided to go ahead with rehearsal. Now dozens of members have COVID-19 and two are dead. (I used up my free articles so I can't quote from it, but I can read it on my iPad while typing on my laptop.) The Skagit Valley Chorale is about 1 hour south of Seattle. While the outbreak h...

In my county 25% of the total number infected required hospitalization. Lake County, right next door is the same. Some counties have even higher % requiring hospitalization, but some have lower. In one county 34% of the total number required hospitalization. That puts things into some perspective. ...

Re: What are you doing to stay sane on your Staycation?

Well, that was interesting. My sister-in-law called me a bit ago and asked if I wanted to play computer games with them. She, my brother, and their four daughters (ages 16-24, two at home, two in the Cities) were using HouseParty. You can use it for video chatting, but it also allows you to play gam...

Re: President* Trump - *Impeached

I’ve always assumed Trump pretends to be religious because old money families tend to be religious. He pretends to be religious because it's expected of him, it costs him nothing, and it plays well with his base. Plus, lots of "Christian" leaders will sing his praises and he loves to be publicly ad...

Re: On a Personal Level--Coronavirus COVID-19 Cancellations, etc.

You need to clean the surface first (soap and water in a spray bottle will do), with a paper towel. Then spray the rubbing alcohol on and let it air dry. If you don't have a spray bottle, saturate a paper towel with the alcohol, wet the surface well, and air dry. I know this because I have a fascin...

Re: On a Personal Level--Coronavirus COVID-19 Cancellations, etc.

Silly question - How do you use rubbing alcohol for cleaning surfaces? I've used it for cleaning little things, like mercury thermometers, but I've never used it for large surfaces. I do have 2/3 of a spray bottle of 409 and I do have Clorox wipes, so I don't need to use the alcohol at this point, b...

I'm sure that this is a dumb question and you guys will tell my why. Why not use the self-inflating bags that they carry on ambulances to use on people that paramedics they intubate when they run out of respirators? It would take a lot of manpower, but they could make a lot of them very fast and yo...
