Re: New Diseases

My girlfriend just told me that her husband, a doctor for 30+ years, is now making her carry hand sanitizer (and USE it) and went off on her yesterday for using her finger instead of her elbow to push the elevator button. This man is one of the most laid back people I have ever known, and his reacti...

Re: New Diseases

I'm expecting to hear reports in the next couple of weeks that Mardi Gras revelers are coming down with it. They had everything else happen this year. And since it's New Orleans, of course the bad luck is being blamed on the juju of their moron mayor leaving 2 dead bodies literally hanging over Cana...

I'm not familiar with Pakman but he is less than impressive. He seems to really stretch to make his points, and if he hadn't told us why he was playing a certain clip I'm wouldn't have even known what point he was trying to make.

I saw an article saying the US was going to transfer some of the cases? Suspected cases? Quarantined travelers? in Alabama, but AL apparently threw a fit so they're going some place else. Of course, I can't find the article now.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I guess I could ask the cashier at my favorite taco joint if she knows anyone who does it. The ones I saw were $30+ an hour and if I don't do it a couple of times a week, I'm not going to remember what I last learned, other than working with duolingo but I can't ...

My first suggestion was going to be to run the cabinets to the ceiling, but you already got that. My next suggestion is to make the individual cabinets as wide as absolutely possible. 2 wide cabinets rather than 3 normal ones for example. If you're going from a 24" counter width to an 18" counter wi...

Like malls. There's a kiosk in my local mall where I get my batteries changed in wristwatches, but I never bought a watch there. I was in there a few weeks ago and the mall is dead. I couldn't believe how few people were there. i don't know anyone who wears a wristwatch I do. (wear one, that is. I ...

Re: Online Restaurant Food Delivery - DoorDash, Postmates, Uber Eats, Direct Order - How Much Do You Tip?

My argument for people who claim self check out is costing jobs has been that any loss of cashiers is more than made up for by the droves of employees pushing the huge blue racks around the Kroger filling on-line orders. They even took away the coffee seating from the old men to have enough room to ...

I'm asking for advice. I am not a seamstress. I can sew on a button. I have hemmed up skirts and slacks. I enjoy counted cross stitch and Hardanger work. But that's about it. That said, I am incredibly frustrated by the depth of the front pockets of my jeans. I can tell which of my jeans are newer ...

Juror misconduct is a structural error; evidence of the defendant's guilt isn't a factor. I’m not sure that’s true. Admittedly it’s been a while since I researched this, but I thought there was a test that asked first whether the juror was dishonest in voir dire (if not, stop), and if so whether th...

I would think that if one were really good at pie crust, biscuits would come along as well. Anecdotally, I do not find that to be true. Running the roll call in my head of people I know who make fabulous biscuits and the ones who make fabulous pie crusts, there is a single overlap of the two lists,...
