Re: Mueller's investigation of Trump

All of the above may be true, but I think it may also have to do with criminal financial dealings. Money laundering, tax evasion. :swoon:

I think that is scarier than any sex scandal for Trump. A criminal financial crime involving him and his clan would be devastating.

Re: Which Congressman?

I am hoping it is McConnell. Quite a few Gopers took Russian $ via super pacs. "Party loyalty is often cited as the reason that GOP leaders have not been more outspoken in their criticism of President Donald Trump and his refusal to condemn Russia's interference in the 2016 presidential election. Ye...

Re: Is Racism in America Becoming Fashionable Again?

As painful and disgusting as it is, we have President Obama, Hillary Clinton and trump to thank.. inadvertently, .all for the current fetid soup of racist misogyny bubbling to the surface in the USA. it was ALWAYS here. Just below the surface. I saw it. I felt it. I knew it. So did my son. So did a ...

Re: Political Depression - How to Handle

I was happily distracted yesterday with my piano. I did not listen to the news and did not think about what has been happening since the 2016 election. But when I woke up this morning I found myself in a full-on panic attack.

I need happy distractions but I am paralyzed. WTF and OMG.

Anticipation! Waiting for this piano (I got for the price of delivery) to arrive. I should wait until it is here and the room is done to share a picture, but then I am the type of person who cannot wait until BD's and holidays arrive to give or receive gifts.

But you don't know for sure.

Maybe they're being set up for adoption by right wing fundi evangelicals, and fed into the coming Hitler Youth.
After all, weren't the Kushners interested in international adoptions s?

Fucking evil. "Bethany Christian Services, an adoption center with financial ties to [Education Secretary] Betsy DeVos, has taken 81 immigrant children who were forcibly separated from their parents at the border. Most have had no contact with their families. They’re charging $700 per child per nigh...

Re: Is Racism in America Becoming Fashionable Again?

I'm so old I remember when churches didn't lock their doors. If you was walkin' down the road and had a hankerin' to go pray to the deity of your choice, you could just walk right in and sit in a pew and have a Bible and a Book of Common Prayer right there in the rack in front of you. I reckon that...

Re: Alex Jones

I was going to get things done today. But warning: #secondcivilwarletters. It is all Slim Cognito's fault. However, I did go stock up on sundried tomato paste, Trisquits and a 12-pack of nice IPA. Still wishing I hadn't bothered to mow the lawn last night.

Ever onward!

Re: Political Depression - How to Handle

Political depression is an awful thing which most likely bleeds into all aspects of any thinking, caring and concerned person's everyday life. It does mine. It casts a stinking wet blanket over my good spirit and makes me feel ugly and distrustful. And that is not who I am at my core. I find that sp...

If he’d already hired clerks, did something happen to change his mind?

I’m hoping Clarence will Scalia in early 2020 and the Dems will McConnell.
