p.s. He bought it for his patio so he would have a place to set his beers so his cat would stop knocking them over. :rotflmao: This is one of many ways a dog far outshines a cat. A dog would get you a beer whereas a cat would merely knock your beer over. What I don’t understand is why your friend w...

Unlikely that the data is lost in a water incident. The only issue is getting at it. But that's not part of the business model (for Apple or any other cellphone maker) .. If the data is still on the phone, but just not accessible because the OS is damaged, I assume a competent computer forensic ana...

I'm really happy for her. Didn't she have a line on her Facebook page that she couldn't wait to get off of Facebook? For like a really, really long time? I wonder (a) what took her so long, and (b) why she felt tied to it in the first place.

and the obvious thing is he has an attorney, who likely explained to him the need to have proper ID, what type of employment they want him to get, what living arrangements they'll accept, etc.
wonder where he got the coin for that?
My guess is he didn't.
Yeah, PD, probably.

I cancelled my repairman at 6:00 when he didn't show. Then I published a Yelp! review, giving him a 1-star, calling him a "complete no-show," and describing what happened. Within 30 seconds of hitting the send button on Yelp, my phone rang. Pretty sure he gets notified when he gets a Yelp review. I ...

Everybody’s different. I eat between 1200 and 1500 calories a day, paying close attention to the balance of macronutrients. I walk between 5 and 7 miles per day. All to *maintain* my current percentage if body fat (which is higher than I would like). Others could eat more, move less, and lose weight...

When I was in Italy and the repairman said domani, he meant two or three days. If he said dopodomani he meant two or three months.
But if he said Lunedi, he actually meant Lunedi, no?
Yes, but he never said which one.

No, nincompoop, the FBI (and every level of law enforcement that I'm aware of) doesn't put you under oath to answer questions during an investigation. I don’t have any experience with the FBI. I might be around a little tomorrow yet, but we are heading out on Thursday to take the kids to Bermuda on a cruise from NYC. Not my kind of cruise, but they gave me a chance to bid on a penthouse suite, so I did, not expecting to get it as I didn't bid much. I got it! Living room, master bedroom, ...

The analogy of people with overeating addiction and alcoholics is a good one. Alcoholics say "I drink because I'm miserable and stressed." You ask why and the reason boils down to: because I drink to excess. I've heard obese people say the same thing about overeating. "It's the only thing that make...
