Re: New York State Investigations of Trump and Related

I don't think Trump will be found guilty in a court of law. But he could go broke trying to stay out of prison. I think Trump may be able to beat charges for election tampering in Georgia because of difficulty explaining how his behavior on those recorded phone calls actually crosses the line into ...

Re: Gun Control

Y’all are gun-crazy.
It is, I believe, called American exceptionalism.
It gets pretty damn close to clinically diagnosable as disturbed.
When Boebert and MTG are major protagonists, one might worry.
The deliberate misinterpretation of the 2nd is pathetic, childish.

Re: have you received your vaccine yet?

Drove my missus 40 miles yesterday to get her first Moderna shot - we got her on the “call us list if you are looking for bodies”
Made it in 45 minutes.
Today her shoulder hurts like hell and she went veg at about 24 hours after.
Really tired.
Otherwise May was probably what we expected.
Yay!

Re: Hijack This Thread

Well, our Sunday Dinner had a sad ending. Our 97yo Army Air Corp nurse dinner guest left in an ambulance. In the early afternoon every Saturday, I check in with our guests to see if they will be attending, need/want anything special, maybe bringing a friend or relative, etc. etc, so we know how man...

Re: New York State Investigations of Trump and Related

Rich people need to pay more taxes. Those that pay taxes at all. trump only paying $750 wasn't just because he's a criminal, its probably more common than you'd think and not just because they're so smart Der Fuhrer kind of screwed himself here though, he's too high profile to let go Big secret, he...

I have a cousin. My cousin now is a RWNJ, evangelical who hates immigrants. I do not understand how she can feel that way when her own parents were immigrants. I guess they are the right-colored ones. I offer you Stephen Miller as the ultimate kids in cages anti-immigrant. His family fled the Shoah...

Adding to what Mr Brolin said, you might have heard the Sinn fien or IRA saying theor battle cry is "Tiocfaigh ar La!" which they say means "Our day will come!" Except... it doesn't. Its nonsense. It sort of means "Somebody will take some day." If they were talking act...

Re: Coronavirus One Year Later

My friend's dad in CT, 87 years old, died yesterday of covid. They have been trying for weeks to get his dad, and his mother, a vaccine with no luck. They both wound up in the hospital with it, and even though they both had it, and were both in the same hospital, his mom was not allowed in the room...

If there is already an A&C thread, please merge. I make small rag dolls. I posted a few photos on the last thread, Notorious RBG, Svengoolie, Bill Nye, Jerry Garcia. I'm currently working on Kamala Harris. I like to add a prop to each. Sven had his rubber chicken, RBG had a law book, Adam Savag...

We have now been one year in fully remote learning. Honestly, my 11-year old prefers it. He hates waiting around for slo-mos and needs to be challenged. So I challenge him when he has the official stuff done. We just wish teachers were recognized as essential workers. I have a friend who teaches spe...
