Re: Innovative Architecture and Infrastructure

I've seen many "embassy rows" in capitol cities around the world. Often, they are in the best parts of the city. They are usually charming and impressive. That building is neither.

Note that this was released by the Russians and not by this country. That seems to be a thread in 45's administration.

Re: 2018 GOP Rattled by Trump

Here is the joint 2018 Republican candidates' response to Trump's unsolicited "offer" to campaign: :nooo: But he is popular among the Republican base, no matter what he does. The problem I see is he'd talk about himself for most of it, and the audience would forget who the schmo is who's running, e...

I'm not very far into the book, which is 610 pages (on my Nook), so I'm still out on it. I'm getting a little lost in the weeds.

Ghost hunter was probably the most interesting thing about him. He was supremely unqualified.

You all have stronger stomachs than I. I stayed away from the TV last night as I hate this kind of coverage. This is why I spent the evening watching cartoons instead. I never watch TV anymore (except for sports) so I kept an eye on Twitter (I've curated a really good feed) & on the NYT returns pag...

You all have stronger stomachs than I. I stayed away from the TV last night as I hate this kind of coverage. I did check in once in a while and knew Doug Jones had won and went to bed happy about that. I just can't stand hours of watching the same thing over and over and over and over. The talking h...

He's a stupid man, but he's not a dumb man. :brickwallsmall: I can't find a link yet, but Sarah surpassed herself today. On MSNBC they showed her telling the reporter who asked about it that her mind was in...

My mother had vascular dementia, although she was in her nineties when it started. It was downright scary. There was really almost nothing that could be done. But the vascular part of it is what killed her at the age of 94.

There's an article on Think Progress about Graham's change of mind on 45, but it doesn't really come to any conclusions.

He went from strong opponent to strong proponent in two years. The ad for the golf club was disgusting.

Just in general, there has to be a better way to register people to vote than DMVs or other offices. I'm sure republicans would never agree, but since any citizen has the inherent right to vote (or should), why can't the right to vote be conferred on a child when born? They make them get a Social Se...

Thom Hartman had one of his quick call-in polls today. There were about 20 calls. Callers only had to answer "Stay" or "Go." All but two said stay, and the two who said go only said it conditionally.

One thing I've noticed is that Moore always says he asked the mother's permission. That speaks to his choosing to go after girls who didn't have fathers in the household. That wasn't an accident.
