Re: On a Personal Level--Coronavirus COVID-19 Cancellations, etc.

Tuesday night here they did a light up night in appreciation of the people on the front line. Downtown was all lit up, and they asked everyone to put their porch lights on at 8 PM and clap. People everywhere are doing what they can to keep up spirits. I like the teddy bear in the window thing, which...

I watched a program on the Discovery Channel yesterday about the 100 best gadgets ever invented. Smart phones came in Number 1! I do not disagree. (In fact, that was my guess.)

Schools are closed for the rest of the academic year here. The grandkids are just getting set up on remote distance learning to start next week after working from packets since they went out. We FaceTime with them most days, and things are a little crazy. They are getting guinea pigs, which was in t...

It does lead to a lot of disorientation, too, as I remember. He pulled his out when he began to become more conscious, breaking a front tooth in the process...

Re: Weather Alerts

We had a few really rough hours of storms here last night starting around 1:30 AM. Weird wind noise, lots of thunder and lightning. There was a tornado, but not all that close to us. Tornadoes are not all that common here. They can happen, but don't very often. It was a really nasty storm. I'm glad ...

At some point soon, all of us will know someone who died, has a lifelong heath issue related to COVID-19, or who has had other catastrophic impacts like mental health issues or economic impacts. He can’t bluster a way out of this one. You touch on something not really being addressed: the impact on...

Re: On a Personal Level--Coronavirus COVID-19 Cancellations, etc.

IMHO pasta can be homemade in the spaghetti and noudle varieties. IFF the ingredients like wheet flour and possibly eggs can be found. While preparing the dough is easy, cutting and grooming (straight or birdsnests, ravioli) of the pasta can easily fill your free time at home. Well dried plain past...
