Re: New Diseases - Coronavirus

May or may not have been posted already - bar chart animation of CV19 case count since June by state. I was not aware of Arizona having so many cases for so long. https://twitter.com/AnthonyJClark/status/1315654253311131648 Well, that's graphing total cases. From your statement about Arizona having...

Ivana? Over/under he even knows Donald's 1st wife vs. misspelling his daughter's name. That Darn Spork! :P I'm sure this isn't why our dear combination utensil used it, but her legal name is in fact Ivana, the same as her mother. Ivanka is just a diminutive form of Ivana, similar to how Johnny is a...

Things I didn't expect: Donald Trump, Jr being a voice of reason on any issue whatsoever.

No credit given for that tiny recognition of reality, but it serves to magnify the dysfunction in the rest of the family.

Re: Coronavirus: It's Inside the Congress

It'll be interesting to see if any of the Minnesota Republican delegation develop COVID-19. Trump was here on Wednesday and so you know he was handshaking with local politicians. According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune: "Minnesota's three Republican congressmen also traveled on Air Force One with...

That's better than testing positive, but I will still worry until they are testing negative at least a week or so after the potential exposure.

Re: Gavin Seim

The cafe would be a perfect cover for a laundering operation. This is a very good point. Yes, but a laundering operation would want to keep a low profile, not draw the governement's attention to itself by raising a big stink about being forced to shut down on independence day (or whatever holiday t...

Re: Gavin Seim

All I can tell you regarding the success of Gavin's businesses is that we never saw proof of their "successes" and he and Nathan were very mysterious about where they made their money. Some of us were told specifically that Gavin made his money via his photography (of course), but more to the point...

Exactly how many Seims are living in Mexico? 8 in Nathan's house; 7 in Gavin's house; Gavin's parents (2), who frequently have family from the States with them. Are you saying that Gavin's parents have moved to Mexico? I know that they visited several times, but don't remember hearing about them mo...

Re: CHRISTOPHER BRUCE: The Mighty Spork

How convenient that they did ascii conversions for the letters of his name, but not for the "III" at the end. They just added three instead of 73+73+73.

Also, does it count if they used his corporate strawman name "BILL GATES" instead of his flesh-and-flood name "Bill Gates"?

Re: Fogbow Birdwatchers Club

I ordered a book with bird sounds so I can identify the birds by sound in our woodland backyard. It hasn't yet arrived so I use the Cornell Lab's bird identifier. I can identify cardinals, blue jays, crows(really hard NOT), kites, wrens, mourning doves, and just recently the yellow bellied sapsucke...

Thanks, all. The juniors will not really appreciate the work, but it's fun to make anyway ;). I'm sure it'll get dinged up and treated roughly, but it's built well, so it should hold up. This one is made out of cherry as well, so I'm sure it'll darken and look more like Chilidog's over time. The dar...

Apparently the Walgreens down the street from me got hit again last night. Broken windows and fire/smoke. Not sure how much was looted. They had only reopened about a month ago after extensive looting and damage from the initial unrest.

Since school is remote for us this year, I'm in the process of making a few small-ish desks for the kids. Hopefully, having a dedicated space will encourage good work habits. We'll see. I just finished the first one. The second is in the glue-up stage. DSC_7268.JPG DSC_7285.JPG I'm not entirely sure...

Re: Gavin Seim

Here's a telling question from Gavin's Facebook page: You'd think Seim wouldn't be wishfully "wondering" about harm caused his fellow business owners. Traffic is managed in my neighborhood grocery, so shoplifting would be harder to pull off. More employees, fewer shoppers, managed traffic flow. Gav...

The whole article is worth reading but is not specifically about Pence. She felt freer as she spoke....
