Re: Peloton, the butt slap... I give up.

I've seen that ad and others for Peloton. Didn't notice anything that should have outraged me. Ah, it's just part of the long-running war over whether married couples have an obligation to their partners to keep in reasonable shape/stay reasonably sexually attractive to the other. One side says you...

Re: Peloton, the butt slap... I give up.

You are missing my point. Men slapping each other's butt is fairly common in sports, is it not? Do you think that a reasonable sportsball player would interpret a slap on the butt during a sporting event to be sexually motivated? Do you think that a reasonable woman would interpret a random strange...

Re: Peloton, the butt slap... I give up.

Regarding Peloton, I finally watched it to see what the hoopla is about. I actually don't see why it was called "cringeworthy" in the reports about the social media reaction. Her husband gives her the gift of the bike and she's not initially thrilled to start a regular exercise routine or to get up...

???? Is re a video auto-playing on this thread? It doesnt' autoplay for me, but sugar was complaining about that upthread as well and then it got put under a 'hidden' section. Maybe that's not enough. In any case, if you use firefox, you can ensure it never autoplays media: https://support.mozilla....

Watching the hearings on CSPAN. I had to mute the audio during the break because of the stupid call-ins.

Re: Impeachment: Public Opinion

Yeah, that's a particularly maddening section of the population. And there's far too many of them. People that have convinced themselves that A) this stuff is too complicated and I can't figure out what the truth is, and B) it doesn't really matter anyway. Infuriating. Part of it is probably an educ...

I’ve just gotten back from Seoul where the 5G network is already well established. Didn’t see too many people spontaneously combust out on the street corners or anything, though. It’s possible that CHRISTOPHER BRUCE might have exaggerated the dangers of this, maybe? It's not that 5G makes people co...

Re: Donald: Impeachment Watch

GOPers seem pretty confident that Sondland will have Trump's back. I suspect he wouldn't be complying unless he was contriving it in such a way as to be at least perceived as helpful to the President. My feeling as well. They probably see it as an opportunity to help change the narrative by testify...

Elizabeth Warren just met her look-alike at a rally. Can you tell them apart? https://beta.washingtonpost.com/politi...
