Re: Coronavirus: Deaths by Stoopid

Forget spreading from protests--just wait until two weeks from the 4th of July to see explosive growth in cases. If there's one thing Americans can't resist, it's shooting off fireworks and drinking alcohol whilst tending that grill.

And how was she to know that? She acted from an abundance of caution, totally appropriately. The bikers looked to her like thugs who might enjoy messing up a Muslim woman, and there’s an excellent chance she was right. They didn't just look like thugs, they were wearing clothing that indicated they...

I’ve got another take on it. I think his ego is so fragile that if/when he realizes he might lose that he’ll drop out for ‘health reasons’. I honestly don’t think he could bear the thought of losing. More than anything else, his obsession with Obama won’t, I believe, allow him to not equal that imp...

I've often wondered why a woman would include the name of her ex in her new name when she remarries.
Often because they have children with the ex's last name and it's a bit less confusing for people to understand.

Technically, the one in Tacoma is branded as a Bass Pro (which is now owned by Cabela's) and the other Cabela's is in Lacey, which is in Thurston County. Actually, Cabela's was acquired by Bass Pro Shops in 2017. ;) From Wikipedia: Acquisition by Bass Pro Shops On July 5, 2017, the Federal Trade Co...

The local paper talked to the police and a couple of bikers, who explained that a fellow biker had gotten released from Stillwater State prison that day, and they'd gotten word that a member of a rival gang was going to show up and confront him. Which is why they were in town, and also why the cops...

SO much to process. I have a horse leaving for Oregon tomorrow (she's being adopted, yay!) so haven't been keeping track of this (there's a lot of paperwork involved in moving a horse across state lines), so will work on catching up.

Thanks for the updates!

Pretty sure it's from the french, parler, to speak. :-D As in palaver, and parlay (both of which would have been batter names). Parlays were attempts to negotiate peace or agreements. To communicate. Parler seems anything but. True. I was having an etymological ramble in support of the idea that th...

I hope someone pointed out to Alana that 'buying the lip gloss' would have been a poor life choice of Mama June's...so the fact that she got cough syrup instead of lip gloss means that someone is actually trying to help her.

I've read that the NDA is part of the petition to the court, and that there's no expiration date on it.

Can the lawyers here tell us if that's enough to make the NDA null and void, as some people have claimed?
