Re: Gavin Seim

In other parts of the world, a 'Master' of something had usually spent years studying under a teacher. You know, as an apprentice. But you didn't get to just slap a label on yourself proclaiming that you were a 'Master' until you proved it.

Re: Madame Speaker

It's a bad joke that the Republican held Senate prevents legislation reaching the president and forcing him to take personal responsibility. As it stands now he can always claim he never received anything to sign. :brickwallsmall: So he ducks and the bullet hits Mitch. The GOP is still stuck holdin...

Re: 2018-2019 Government Shutdown

This is a stupid pissing contest for twitler to get into with Pelosi. As with everything else, there's no real strategy, just shoot from the hip while having a hissy (pissy?) fit. That often leads to a bad outcome for someone. It appears in this case to be him. He doesn't understand that a woman wh...

Well, that is at least something. Sends a message to Trump and Putin.
Now to see who votes to lift sanctions in the Senate.

Yeah, very helpful for him to endorse Pat Buchanan and his white supremacist justification for the wall. That's gonna make it yoogely popular. :|

They musta learned during the mudterms that racism is not a good card to play. NOT!

Once the Republicans ease up on hating Muslim and Latino immigrants, still more of them will willingly affiliate with that party. That will be the GOP's future - and yes, it will still be conservative. “Religious liberty won tonight,” Darl Easton, the Republican Party’s county chairman, said after ...

That stupid football remark is so quintessentially Gavin. He think it's insightful when we've all heard it a million times. He thinks it betrays a lack of intelligence on the part of Americans when it doesn't. And most of all, it lets him pretend he's embracing Mexican culture when he's not. Hey Ga...

Good question. Does the location make a difference? No. Dude was active duty. Navy could go after him. This occurred to me, though. Usually, in order to take a retirement-eligible officer’s retirement, he has to be convicted at court-martial and get sentenced to dismissal. They probably think he ki...

Re: Sexual Assault at Hacienda Healthcare Facility

The menstruation is probably not a missed factor. A woman in such a state will have large absorbent pads, changed frequently, and the staff probably only give them a glance before discarding and I suspect they wouldn't be tracking her cycle (which would likely be irregular). So the fact that there ...

Re: Sexual Assault at Hacienda Healthcare Facility

People have already pointed out that supposedly this woman was under 24 hour care. How did no one notice that her abdomen was getting larger and larger? No one noticed that she was no longer menstruating (I suppose there could be a good answer for that, but haven't seen it expressed yet).

More from The Guardian: David Whelan said he had been unaware of his brother’s interest in Russia. “When we meet at my folks’ house or when we email, Russia never comes up, so it’s not like he’s banging on about it all the time,” he said. “I don’t know I would have called him a Russophile.” They did...
