Re: Hijack this thread

All around them inside the downtown Boston homeless shelter, paper footballs and Patriots pennants hung on the wall, and helium-filled balloons added color and cheer as guests in Pats jerseys and hoodies munched on popcorn from red-and-white striped boxes. While Patriots fans around the region prep...

Re: Pete Buttigieg 2020

I really like him. But a jump from small city mayor to president is just unrealistic, IMHO. I wish he could get elected governor first. But Indiana will only elect "moderate" democrats, which are basically republicans by the standards of most states. Also, said democrat needs to be a white, straight...

Re: Weather Alerts

Its currently eleven below (-11 degrees) with a wind chill of negative 27. I'm having to put two sweaters and a coat on my dog to take her out to pee. She is a short-haired, part chihuahua and dachshund (presumably, she was a rescue, so I'm not sure.) and she has huge bald spots on her back where so...

I looked and they do sell Priuses there. How do you think driving a Prius will go over?
Most of my friends drive Priuses, and I'm in a more conservative city than Indianapolis. I don't think anyone will look twice.

Re: Anybody live in or around Indianapolis, IN?

I live in northern Indiana. I'm a born and raised hoosier, so I'm somewhat biased, but I like it here. Indiana is definitely red, but it's definitely a "find your tribe" type of place. I grew up in the red suburban edge of the city, and now live in the blue downtown, and its like two different world...

Re: President Trump

Somewhat off-topic, but still relevant: After watching "The Crown" I've become kind of interested in the history of the royal family in the 20th century, and have been reading a biography of Wallis Simpson. It's interesting to see how much the concerns about the ex-king's socializing with Nazis are ...

For some reason, I can't copy it. But there's a meme going around facebook with a screenshot from the dancing video and a caption that says "dance like republicans are watching."

There was an article a couple of weeks ago, which I didn't post here and now can't find, which basically posited that Tesla's big accomplishment was building an electric vehicle, unreliable but loaded with impressive bells and whistles, while having an idiot as a CEO. I think that basically sums it ...

Re: The Many Conspiracies Of Kerry Swift-Boater Jerome Corsi

Since I became a criminal defense lawyer, I have found that prison rape jokes no longer amuse me very much. Probably for the best. Stone and Corsi shanking each other, on the other hand, would be apropos as all get out. They'd both miss. But each of them might hit himself in the attempt. Can you sh...

We've had 2 instances of people shooting into occupied vehicles and hitting someone in the last month. In one, a bullet went through a 2 year olds leg and lodged in his 1 year old sister's chest. In the other, a 12 year old was shot in the leg and the 14 year old was shot in the foot. Both were com...

The more I think about it, I'm beginning to think the ''nude selfie'' is a random picture of a random person that was on some cell phone that was taken at the airport or some such.
