I didn't know Gregg outside of his posts here but we shared a history in the automotive industry though in different capacities. I agreed with him almost completely on auto industry related topics and on a whole lot of others as well. He was the real deal and he'll be greatly missed.

We've spread 45 bags of mulch so far and need about 15 more to finish. We didn't mulch last year so it's a bit more than normal. I hate, loathe and despise bagged mulch but it's a concession to the fact that shoveling bulk mulch off the driveway completely destroys my back. For some reason hauling a...

I also speak judge. “Counsel, I don’t want to hear this again from your client.” :yeahthat: I don't know if the judge saw the (extrajudicial) clip where the defendant's lawyer appear to nod in agreement. But including counsel in the remarks was saying, "Do better." ( And of course "I...

We just about had an incident the other morning. I came down to let the dogs out at first light. When I let the dogs out the motion detecting light came on and I saw a rabbit moving under the bird feeders. Evie went for the rabbit and I went out after her. She was about halfway across the yard when ...

Is it remotely possible that I just saw a blue finch in central Indiana? I couldn’t get a real close look because I was in the house and the feeder is 25’ from the house but it was the size and look of a finch with a bright yellow-orange beak and was blue all over. It’s definitely not an Eastern Blu...

speaking of noise pollution…. i wonder if traffic camera systems can be augmented to catch cars with illegally modified and excessively noisy mufflers. :oldman: I wouldn't be opposed. We live a hundred yards or so off a fairly busy state route that leads to one of the prettier areas in the state. O...

IMG_7657 1000.jpg We have a pair of Mallards come visit our feeders every spring for a couple of weeks. Ducks mate seasonally so that begs the question of which, if either, is the returning duck. They are fun to watch though. Excellent photo. This is the time of year I have seen ducks on top of the...
